7. Puzzled puzzle – Toilet Letters by Eric Holopainen

Imagine me. not just me, but me seated at a cafe. you’ve got a hell of an imagination.

So i was minding my own business, eavesdropping on the conversations of people around me.

this lady short, stout, and short in stature. went on to pass her friend a large box. Not just any large box, no. It was a jigsaw puzzle. A jigsaw puzzle in a large box. This was a large jigsaw puzzle.

A pained look painted her face “its given me nothing but troubles. 500 piece, 700 piece, 900 piece, theyre all do-able. But 1000 piece is my limit. Take this. Its been wreaking havoc with my back.” She whined, rubbing her knee with fervour.

Jigsaw puzzles are not exhausting. They are taken up by seniour citizens (old people) and tea drinkers (weird people) all over the world. If you were to imagine a laid-back weekend of flower picking and cheese sampling, you can bet a puzzle would squeeze its way in there.

Relaxing, chill, pointless, boring, these are all words i would use to describe the famed jigsaw puzzle. Notice the word “troublesome” was nowhere to be found? Thats because its a ludicrous thing to say!
